Kids Camp Scholarship
Call for entries
The Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers and the Shasta Mayflies, two local fly fishing clubs in Northern California, are offering four Fish Camp Scholarships to interested youth from Shasta, Trinity, Tehama, and Siskiyou Counties. Each $750 award covers the entire cost of the 5-day program put on by The Fly Shop of Redding, including accommodations, meals, and use of equipment. The camp teaches fly fishing and other outdoor skills in a safe and friendly environment, and is held on a private ranch outside of Weed at the base of Mt. Shasta.
To apply for one of the four scholarships, interested youth from the ages of 10 and 15 who reside in one of the counties named above must complete this application form and attach two short essays answering the questions listed on the application form. Participants may also be asked to attend a meeting of one of the sponsoring fishing clubs to give a short presentation on their experience at camp.
